Julie was exhausted, and she was currently skipping class by hiding in the very back of the library, tucked away where not even the librarian went. The books on the shelves here were coated so thickly in dust and cobwebs that they looked as if they had not been moved in years, they would provide her with shelter from the world at the moment. Julie had not slept soundly the previous night, she had been plagued with dreams with her father in them, and what he had done to her over the summer.

Julie shuddered at the mere thought, and then returned to looking dully into the book she had pulled off one of the shelves, not really reading the words that were so difficult for her brain to decipher. Julie hated being dyslexic, it made life so hard. You dumb bitch, The words resonated in her head, making Julie bite down on her lip to maintain composure. When she heard the sound of footsteps coming her way, Julie mentally cursed, she was busted now...

Darren sat down next to Julie. "Hey beautiful, everything alright? I saw you duck away from class before it started," he explained gently. After his planned attack on Jezebel failed, he was looking for some sort of companionship. And Julie was smitten with him. Darren smiled at her sympathetically. Damn, was he a good actor or what? He snickered to himself, a phantom devilish grin hiding just below his sexy, sweet smile.

Julie relaxed a bit when she saw that it was Darren, although a prefect he was pretty lax on rules, at least around her he was. She took only a second longer than usual to formulate an appropriate response. "I didn't sleep well last night, I figured I would rather pass out here than in Transfiguration," said Julie, she smiled weakly, "but I'm fine." She was more than used to covering up the pain inside, it was second nature now. Julie was pretty certain the only people she couldn't fool were Stevie Rae, Seamus, and Hyperion.

Darren smiled, slipping an arm around her delicate shoulders. "Well, my shoulder's here for your resting needs," he offered with a gentle laugh. Before Julie could object, he shook his head. "It's the least I could do, dear," he cooed, looking deep into her brown eyes. This was the closest they had gotten before, and he was rather enjoying the sensitive look Julie was giving him. One that a puppy would look at, admiring it's beloved trainer.

Julie felt her heart flutter as Darren slipped his arm around her shoulders, she had not been expecting that, but it was nice. He was warm, and he smelled good, like some sort of high quality cologne. And only slightly too, not as if he had put on too much. She allowed herself to lean on him, hear the sound of his heart beat through his robes. She closed her eyes lightly, but she was not going to allow herself to fall asleep. "You smell wonderfully," said Julie.

Darren grinned, his hand rubbing up and down Julie's arm gently. At her compliment, he smiled and laughed. "Thanks," he replied, grinning. Darren cuddled closer to Julie, happy she was falling right into his trap. This was much easier than he thought it was originally going to be. And that pleased him. Darren put his mouth close to her ear, smiling. "And you, Julie, are absolutely beautiful," he purred.

Julie blushed slightly as she opened her eyes, she was not used to getting compliments. She found herself suddenly wishing that Darren would ask her out, he was almost teasing her, being so tantalizing, just out of reach... Maybe that was why he seemed so exciting to her, she couldn't just have him, she needed to consciously work at getting his attention. "Thank you," Julie said bashfully.

Darren grinned. He was having enough of the game now, and it was time to shake things up a little. He took Julie's chin gently in his hand, turning her head and meeting her eyes. He smiled seductively at her, whilst inside he was cringing. The rewards would out-weigh the disgusting puppy-look Julie gave him he supposed. He brought his face mere centimeters from his, close enough that with one action their lips would me. "Date me," Darren whispered, his voice a soft pur.

Julie smiled, she could feel it connect with her eyes, that had been a rarity for her, it had not happened once since August. She could hardly believe this was happening to her. She took a second to find any words, her mind had seemingly gone blank. Somehow she found she liked how his words had sounded like more of a command than a question, it made him seem... Dangerous. "Okay," Julie said softly.
